What We're About
Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." The goal of CCF's Children's Ministries is to support parents in the faith "training" of their children. While it is the parents' primary responsibility to teach their children to know God, we believe the church plays a vital role in equipping parents and in reinforcing the biblical truths that are being taught at home.
What We Do
Children's Ministry at CCF serves kids from birth through 6th grade and their families. The ministry to children is divided into three groups. The Nursery provides loving care for infants and walkers through 2 years of age. Our Preschool ministers to little ones from 3 to 5 years old. The Elementary Ministry reaches and teaches kids from kindergarten through 6th grade.
During the school year we offer Kids Classes for all ages during the worship service. This small group format is where foundational Bible teaching happens and relationships are built between student and teacher, and between kids. Adding to the excitement is our large group worship time, where kids come together for 25 minutes of singing, giving offering, and getting special announcements. It's a fun, interactive experience that is greatly enhanced by consistent attendance.
To ensure the care and safety of your child it is very important that we have current information. Please help us do this by downloading a registration form, filling one out for each child, and returning it to the Children's Ministry office in the Ministry Center. Thank you!
The first Sunday of each month is Communion Sunday, and kids in kindergarten through 6th grade worship with their parents in "Big Church." A special Kids Bulletin is available with activities and information to help kids get the most from the service. We also have a "Kids in Worship" parent page available in the lobby or by downloading here.
Parenting classes are offered at various times throughout the year. Throughout the year there are special events for all ages. Some are geared towards families and others are designed for specific age groups. These events are highlights for the kids of CCF and a great place for them to invite their friends.
The Special Events Team has a new mascot! His name is Felix the Helix.
Any time you see this cheerful little mascot, you will know that children are being well loved by the Body of Christ here at CCF! They are learning in very practical, fun ways how to live in relationship with others, as well as how to reach out and minister to others in a safe environment, where Christian adults are modeling Christ-like behavior.
If you'd like to be a part of what God is doing in the lives of children and parents this year at CCF, call the Children's Ministry office.
