2010 Short-term Missions Opportunities
April 23: 30-Hour Famine
All junior high and high school students are encouraged to sign up for this no-cost event, designed to raise awareness and money for World Concern's efforts to feed the hungry around the world. Contact Dave Jordan at

July 10-20: Nicaragua
A team of adults and students (high school or those with previous missions experience) will serve among the poor in Nicaragua. They will interact with children living in a dump and minister to others also. Applications, passports, and immunizations are all required. $150 deposit is due upon acceptance to the team; total cost is $1,860. August 16-20: Swinomish Tribe
Students (7th through 12th grade) and leaders will spend four days on the Swinomish Reservation outside of LaConner, serving the kids and families there and participating in a VBS. 2010 Outreach Opportunities
CCF Soup Kitchen
Families with kids, couples, singles ... all are welcome to participate in this proposed project. There's no date set, but there will be an informational, brainstorming meeting on February 28 in the Ministry Center, at 9:15 a.m. You can indicate your interest in this outreach by attending the meeting, or contact Katie McGrew at

March 30 and April 29: Food Lifeline
We will take a team of 30 people (ages 6 years and older) on each of the above dates, and go to this facility in Shoreline from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Read more, or contact Katie McGrew at

May 1-2: Standing Stones
A team of male adults and teenagers will travel to the Standing Stones facility near Yakima. They will be a work crew for grounds and facility maintenance, repairs, and painting as well as interact and have fellowship with the residents there. 2nd Sunday Evening each Month: Monroe Prison
Men are invited to participate in a Worship Service for inmates and their families. The service is sponsored by Prisoners for Christ, and the teams will be coordinated by the CCF Men's Fraternity. Contact Rick Gifford at

12-Hour 'On Call' Shift: Support 7
Several shifts are available each month, and adults only are asked to sign up for this community outreach. You will ride along with a police chaplain and respond to crisis situations where you will comfort and help those people who are involved. Training is provided, and you would need a valid WA Driver's License. Contact Dale Schlack at (206) 355-8368.
